The Scottish Aviation Bulldog is a two-seat side-by-side training aircraft designed by Beagle Aircraft. The prototype flew on 19 May 1969 at Shoreham Airport. The largest customer was the Royal Air Force, which placed an order for 130 Bulldogs in 1972, entering service as the Bulldog T.1. It was used as a basic trainer, in particular as the standard aircraft of the University Air Squadrons providing flying training. They were retired from RAF service in 2001, many going to private buyers/owners.
Philip says….“I did some aerobatics in one at Old Sarum airfield, near Salisbury during my PPL course and it’s great fun to fly”.
