The Lancaster and Mosquito became legends in their own time during WW2. Both performed vital roles in support of the Allied cause, roaming far and wide over occupied Europe. Over the years, much has been written about these aircraft and the airmen and women who flew them. We should also remember the ground crews who maintained and readied them for combat, the designers, manufacturers and skilled workers. They all had a hand in turning them into fine examples of British defiance and ingenuity.
